Term 2 Newsletter

A Note from Adrian
Firstly, I would like to thank so many of you for the lovely feedback we've received this term regarding our lessons and our teaching team. Rest assured, all of your comments are passed on to the individuals who look after your children; they truly appreciate the recognition.

While this term was shorter due to the holidays, the next term returns to our standard 6-week block. As per our recent email, we are implementing a fee increase for the upcoming term. We have held our prices steady for over three years and absorbed many rising costs ourselves. However, to continue providing excellent lessons with the best coaches in the area and to cover rising pool hire, VAT, and insurance this change is now necessary. This was not a decision taken lightly, but it ensures we can continue to offer the very best for your swimmers.

We have had some many swimmers joins us this term from others swim schools so we would like to officially welcome each and everyone of you to hydroschool. Welcome, enjoy your lessons.

Teacher of the Term Awards: Jan–Feb 2026

Hydroschool are thrilled to let you know the teachers of the term for February to March term.
These teachers are recognised by hydroschool, the Lesson Managers and for positive parent feedback.

Rosie (Level 2 Teacher, Eastbourne)
Rosie joined hydroschool as a Level 1 teacher and has progessed to a Level 2. Rosie joining us is a family affair as her mum used to work with hydroschool as a teacher. Rosie has shown herself to be a positive role model for the swimmers and arrives and teaches with a positive outlook and a big smile to welcome all of her swimmers.

Tom (Level 1 Teacher, Eastbourne)
Tom joined hydroschool around 6 months ago after finishing a competitive swimming career at Eastbourne Swimming Club. Tom loves teaching swimming. Always one of the first teachers to arrive at lessons and always helps with equipment at the end of a session. His enthusiasm is clear to see at all of the lessons.

Eddie (Level 2 Teacher, Bexhill)
Eddie has been with hydroschool for many years. Starting as a swimmer with us he progressed into volunteering, then qualified as a Level 1 teacher and soon after that completing his Level 2 Swim England qualification. After working his way through hydroschool Eddie is now one of our most reliable, reliable and fn teachers working at Bexhill on Sundays.

Keira (Teaching Assistant Bexhill)
Keira is another success story from hydroschool. Starting as a swimmer rising through the stages and then joining us as a volunteer and then onto the teaching team. Keira works at Bexhill on Sundays and has been a reliable, smiling, supportive part of the teaching team. Always happy to smile and support the swimmers.

Meet Amy - A Friendly Face Poolside

Amy

Hello everyone! I’m Amy, and I wanted to introduce myself to those I haven't met yet.

I’m one of the Lesson Managers here at Hydroschool, primarily looking after our Thursday and Friday sessions at Ocklynge, as well as serving as the Lead Welfare Officer.

My "day job" is as a Nursery Manager at St. Thomas à Becket School, so working with children is truly my life’s work!

I joined Hydroschool about 12 years ago after my previous swim school closed, and I’ve never looked back. It has been incredible to watch us grow into a leading provider for the National Curriculum in Eastbourne and Bexhill.

Nothing beats the joy of seeing a swimmer master a new skill. If you ever want to discuss your child’s progress or their next steps, please do come and have a chat when I’m poolside.

Have fun, learn lots, and keep splashing!
Amy
